Selection Process

The merit list will be prepared by the selection committee after the Interview. The decision of the selection committee shell will be final.


Interviews

Interview will be conducted by a panel of three experts. The purpose of the interview is to evaluate the personality of the individual and motivational level to become a doctor. Foreign candidates if unable to travel due to valid reasons can be interviewed on telephone.

Final Selection

Relative weightage of all the components of the admission process, academic achievements in matriculation, intermediate or its equivalents/degree examination, entrance test or its alternatives, interviews and other accomplishments, are added up to arrive at the final merit list. The top applicants on the merit list will be invited, in writing, to join the first year MBBS and BDS class. No formal waiting list will be announced, but all the remaining applicants stay on the waiting list. Any dropouts from the class will be replaced from the waiting list on merit, until the end of the first fortnight of the first term.

Applicants will be informed of the selection individually by letter mailed at the residence address provided with the application forms.
